Town Centre North

The planned development of the northern quarter of Harlow is set to transform the centre and raise the quality of the retail experience, as well as integrating it with the rest of the town.

It includes proposals for new shops, a hotel, and businesses and homes, alongside a new public space, a new iconic library and entertainment facilities.

The extended retail offer will include a new market, major department store and a new food outlet. As regards entertainment, Velizy Place will become the heart of the evening activity in the town, with a Multiplex, Health Club, restaurants and cafes. The new theatre will replace the old Playhouse as part of later development plans.

It is expected that the Town Centre North plans will generate between 3,500 to 4,000 new full time jobs.
