The £25m Gateway Leisurezone has been open since early 2010 and has been earmarked as a training facility for athletes in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.

A new project is in progress to develop a new 1,200 seat auditorium theatre in Harlow Town Centre North. This will underpin the future of culture and arts in Harlow.

Other sporting facilities have been renewed and further sports strategies are in progress.
